A room night and a Statue of Unity visit are two different bookings. If your stay includes a Monday, place the monument visit on an operating day before you pay for the package.

Tent City 1's published terms state that the Statue of Unity premises are closed on Mondays. A hotel or Tent City listing showing a Monday stay rate does not mean the monument is open that day. Check the ticket calendar for your exact dates and ask the property to confirm the services available during your stay.

Write the nights and visits separately

Instead of asking only for “one night, two days”, send your arrival and departure dates with times. Then assign a date to the monument visit. There may be only one workable sightseeing day inside that stay.

  • Arriving Sunday, leaving Monday: Sunday is the potential monument day. If you arrive late, do not assume the visit can move to Monday.
  • Arriving Monday, leaving Tuesday: check whether Tuesday's entry fits your checkout and departure. Monday can be an arrival or rest day only if the booked property arrangements work for you.
  • Staying across Sunday, Monday and Tuesday: choose an operating day for the monument, then ask which package services are scheduled on the other days.

These are date-planning examples, not confirmed itineraries or evidence of ticket availability. For the wider seasonal picture, read our best-time-to-visit guide.

Ask what changes in a sightseeing-inclusive plan

If your Tent City plan includes excursions, ask for the itinerary that applies to your actual arrival day. Do not rely on the generic Day 1 or Day 2 sequence in a brochure. Ask whether each included visit moves, is replaced, or is unavailable, and how the quoted price is affected.

Do not assume a missed activity can simply be carried forward or refunded. Request the booking-specific treatment in writing before deciding whether the package still suits your trip. Our Tent City plan guide explains why a room-and-meals plan and an organised sightseeing plan need different comparisons.

Check the quiet day as carefully as the sightseeing day

Ask the property about meals, any facilities you intend to use and transport on Monday. A room reservation does not establish that every advertised facility or excursion will operate. If you want to spend the day elsewhere, verify that destination and the return journey separately.

There is no need to fill Monday with a long replacement list. Decide whether you want a restful stay, an arrival buffer or a shorter booking. Compare the complete cost and convenience of those choices rather than treating an extra night as automatically necessary.

Keep the transfer and checkout realistic

For a Tuesday visit after a Monday night, agree on checkout, luggage arrangements and onward pickup. For a Sunday visit before a Monday departure, check when you can realistically reach the attraction. Shared transfers may follow a fixed schedule; request the schedule attached to your chosen package.

If the room is not ready when you arrive, see our early-arrival guide. Adding a night does not by itself confirm early check-in or late checkout.

A clear enquiry to send

“We arrive on [date] at [time] and leave on [date] at [time]. Our stay includes Monday. Please confirm our monument visit date, room nights, meals, transfers and any changes to the included sightseeing before quoting the final total.”

Compare hotel + sightseeing packages or Tent City stay plans once the dates work. Check the current ticket calendar again before finalising a date-sensitive booking.
