Mumbai is the long departure on our list. Our route guide plans around 420 km and about 6 to 8 hours by road, and says that figure is a planning estimate, not an official government distance. The useful decision is how many nights you stay, not a single bundled “Mumbai package” price.
What to book, and in which order
Start with nights, then the sightseeing ticket, then the vehicle. A there-and-back drive from Mumbai spends more of the day in the car than at Ekta Nagar, and it misses the evening projection mapping. Our one-day trip guide says the same thing in plainer terms: from Mumbai, a single day is close to unreasonable.
The Mumbai departure page prices three parts separately. The sedan, Ertiga and Innova figures on that page are one-way vehicle fares for a Gujarat-leg pickup, such as Vadodara or Bharuch if you arrive by train or flight. They are not a published per-person fare for the full Mumbai-to-Kevadia road. Ask us for that longer hire. We will quote it for the vehicle and the date.
Which published package fits a Mumbai group
- Classic Day Package, ₹750 per adult and ₹350 per child, if you want the viewing gallery, jungle safari and the evening light show on one sightseeing day.
- 2-Day Explorer, ₹1,400 per adult and ₹1,400 per child, if you would rather spread the gardens across two days. This matches a two-night stay better than a dawn-to-midnight drive.
- An overnight room is not priced per adult. Budget is ₹4,400 per room for two, Comfort ₹4,900, Premium ₹8,000, each for one night with breakfast and the Classic Day sightseeing. A second night is a separate quote at the same hotel. We do not publish a two-night total.
The full per-adult table, including anything that is price on request, is on the packages page. Tent City 1 night / 2 days is published at ₹8,499 per person, and 2 nights / 3 days at ₹10,850 per person, if you would rather have the room and meals in one stay.
How people actually arrive
Road, train into Gujarat and a shorter cab, or a flight into Vadodara and then about the Vadodara–Kevadia leg, are the three patterns we are asked to price. Timetables change, so this page does not invent train numbers or flight times. Use the Mumbai route guide for the options, then tell us the arrival point you actually want the car to use.

A practical two-night shape
Day 0 or a very early Day 1 is the journey in. Use the first full day for the viewing gallery slot and the jungle safari, and keep the second morning for a garden or the dam viewpoint before the drive back. That is the shape the Mumbai package page recommends when it says most people break the journey with a night.
If the group is only free for one night, say so on WhatsApp. We will not stretch a one-night stay into a promise that you will also finish every garden. The Classic Day list is already a full sightseeing day on its own.
