For a Statue of Unity trip with children, start with the room, the travel day and one sightseeing priority. A plan that leaves time to rest is easier to adjust than a long list of fixed activities.

There is no single right trip length for every family. Choose the stay around your arrival, departure and children's routine, then decide how much sightseeing fits.

Share ages, not just “two children”

Accommodation charges, meals, bedding and attraction tickets can use different guest categories. Give the travel team each child's age for the travel dates. Ask which categories apply to the exact room and tickets you are choosing.

Tent City 1's published terms distinguish a child's stay arrangement from some attraction-ticket requirements. Do not treat a complimentary stay as a promise that all meals, bedding and tickets are free. Ask for the children's inclusions to be written separately.

Confirm where everyone will sleep

Ask for the room's permitted occupancy, existing beds and any extra bed or mattress. A room described as a Family Suite does not automatically confirm your particular guest combination. Enrise Kevadia lists a Family Suite category; its availability and the right bedding arrangement still need checking for your dates.

Compare Enrise room choices and other stays near the Statue of Unity. If you are booking two rooms, ask whether a connecting or nearby arrangement is confirmed or only requested.

Make the arrival day workable

Keep the time between reaching Ekta Nagar and getting the room in mind. Early room access is not established by an early train arrival. Ask about luggage arrangements, the first included meal and where your family can wait if the room is not ready.

Our early-arrival guide covers that gap. If your family needs a rest before going out, leave the first outing flexible until the room arrangements are clear.

Pick attractions by interest and practical needs

Choose the experience your children most want rather than assuming a particular attraction suits every age. Ask about current entry conditions, walking, queues, transport and any age or height requirements. A suggested family preference is not an operator's eligibility rule.

  • The monument or Viewing Gallery: ask how the visit fits your available time and tolerance for waiting.
  • Gardens or wildlife: check how much walking the chosen visit involves and how you will get there.
  • Evening experiences: decide whether a late finish works with your departure and bedtime routine.
  • Boating or adventure activities: confirm operation and guest requirements before treating them as part of the plan.

Browse the experience guides for choices, then ask the team to confirm the current arrangements for your shortlist.

Leave room for meals and a break

Plan a pause between outings and decide whether you want to return to the property or stay out. Check meal-service windows against that choice. If your child needs a particular menu or dietary arrangement, ask the property to confirm it before relying on it.

A pool or play area may matter to your family, but check that the facility is operating and what access rules apply. Do not select a property on an assumed shallow area or supervised activity that has not been confirmed. For stay-plan choices, see our Tent City meal guide.

A flexible family trip structure

On arrival, settle the room and meal arrangements first. Use your best available period for the priority experience, with a break before deciding on another outing. Keep an evening activity optional if tiredness or the journey home makes it impractical.

If you have an overnight stay, check what can fit before checkout and how luggage will be handled afterwards. This is a planning structure, not a promise of attraction slots or room access.

What to send for a family quote

“We are [adults] with children aged [ages], travelling on [dates]. We arrive at [time/place] and leave at [time]. Please confirm the room and beds, meals, children's ticket inclusions, transport and final total. Our main priority is [experience].”

That is enough to start comparing a hotel + tickets plan with a Tent City stay. Choose the arrangement that works for your family rather than the longest itinerary.
