The guided route starts and ends at the same parking area used for the standard and tandem options, so a mixed group can still ride together.

The full loop covers roughly 14 km along the riverfront service road, out from Valley of Flowers Parking and back — the motor does the work, so distance isn't a concern.

Age & Guardianship

Children under 12 must ride with a guardian — riding alongside an adult on the same route, on their own bike or the adult's.

Health & Fitness

Pregnant visitors or those with mobility-limiting conditions should not participate. All riders self-certify their own fitness to ride before starting — even with the throttle doing most of the work, basic balance and control are still needed.

Helmets

Helmets are strongly recommended for every rider. Ask at check-in if one isn't already with your bike.

Throttle & Pedal-Assist

You choose how much effort to put in — full throttle for zero pedalling, pedal-assist for a lighter version of a normal ride, or switch between the two anywhere on the route.

What does electric cycling cost?

The e-bike has both throttle and pedal-assist, so it's aimed at less-active or elderly visitors who want to cover the same scenic route without the physical effort of a standard or tandem ride.

How does the throttle and pedal-assist work?

You can either twist the throttle for fully motor-powered movement with no pedalling at all, or pedal normally and let the motor add assistance to each stroke. Riders can switch between the two at any point on the route depending on how much effort they want to put in.
