The Jungle Safari is the visit to Sardar Patel Zoological Park, beside the Statue of Unity and the Sardar Sarovar Dam. The official attraction page uses that name. Our Jungle Safari page is the longer note; this one is the booking distinction people miss.
What the official page says you are visiting
The soutickets.in Jungle Safari page calls the park a 56-hectare zoological park and describes walk-in bird and primate habitats, a serpentarium, big cats, Indian deer and antelope, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, gemsbok, Indian rhino, gaur, African hippo, sloth bear, Indian wild dog and Indian wolf. A complimentary e-cart is subject to availability and cannot be reserved ahead. The page recommends walking.
Gujarat Tourism’s Statue of Unity page describes the same outing more briefly: a zoological park of indigenous and exotic animals and birds in the hills near the statue and the dam.
Hours and the ticket
The official Jungle Safari page says the park runs Tuesday to Sunday. Its terms say visitors enter from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and must leave by 7:00 PM. The visitor-info line on that page also shows 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The rate chart lists the safari from 8:00, last entry 6:00 PM, closing 7:00 PM. Adult ₹200, child ₹125. The ticket-price block on the attraction page uses ages 3 to 15 for the child fare. The park list is Tuesday to Sunday, so Monday is not an operating day. That matches Gujarat Tourism’s Monday closure for the statue.

Pets are not allowed. Outside food and drinks are not allowed. Do not feed animals or cross barriers. Personal photography is allowed; commercial photography needs permission. Those rules are on the official safari page, and the park can enforce them whether you bought the ticket from the official counter or arrived on a package.
How we handle it
If the safari is the only thing you need, use the official ticket. If you want it inside a day with the viewing gallery, use the Classic Day price above, or the 2-Day Explorer at ₹1,400 per adult and ₹1,400 per child when the zoo has to share two days with the gardens. Tell us the date on WhatsApp so we can say whether that safari window is still open. We do not publish a separate SOU Booking zoo fare, and we do not claim the ₹200 official rate is our selling price.
A sane time to go
The official page’s own highlight is best viewing from 8:00 to 11:00 AM and again from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. The midday heat on the hill road is the reason. If your viewing-gallery slot is late morning, do the safari first or leave it for the afternoon, and do not also promise yourself a 4:00 PM Ekta Cruise unless the taxi plan has slack. The cruise page has the boat slots.
Allow the time the official page suggests for the visit, about 90 to 120 minutes, plus the walk if no e-cart is free. A package quote that “includes safari” still has to name the day. Monday is the wrong day to find out the gate is shut.
